Let’s get your LTE at Home all set up!
To Log into your router:
Open your web browser (such as chrome or Firefox).
In the URL search bar, type in this address: 192.168.8.1
Select the “Settings” option.
You will be prompted to enter a user name and password. The default details are:
If you are using the Huawei B618, you will be prompted to update the username and password.
We recommend doing this regardless of which router you are using.
Now that you’re logged in you need to select “Dial-Up” on the left screen menu.
Select Profile Management and then New Profile.
You need to enter a name. This is only a place holder so for short just call it CellC.
Now (very important) in the APN section, type in: lte.broadband.is
After that make sure the profile is selected, then you can hit Save and Apply.
Lastly, you will need to adjust the network type that is preferred to connect to.
Select: Dial-Up: Network Settings.
Set the Preferred mode and Mode to “4G only”.
It will take your router a little while to locate available networks. Once it connects you can simply select Cell C 4G.
Well done! You should now be online!
