How to Set Up your LTE Router

Whether you're setting up your LTE router for the first time, or if you have had it for a while and want to change or update your settings, you should find all LTE router information you need in this article.


Using your LTE router for the first time:


  • Ensure that your sim card is correctly inserted into the router
  • Plug your Router into the power outlet
  • Wait for the lights to  turn on - There will be a steady blue light under the WiFi icon when your internet is working (this can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours the first time you plug in) 
  • Look for your router's WiFi name on your PC or mobile device (your password will be printed on a sticker on the underside of the router), or connect via the LAN cable
  • Use these details to connect to your new Wifi

Enable Roaming on your LTE Router 

All you need to do is restart your device.

If your connection is not automatically restored, follow the steps below: 

Huawei B315

Navigate to the router control panel by plugging into the router with our LAN cable and typing the following address into your browser: 

192.168.8.1.

Log in using the default username and password (admin / admin)

Click on the “Settings” tab and select “Dial-Up > Mobile Connection” from the menu on the left.

Simply select “Enable”, click apply and reboot the router.

Navigate to the router control panel by plugging into the router with our LAN cable and typing the following address into your browser: 

192.168.8.1.

Log in using the default username and password (admin / admin)

Click on the “Settings” tab and select “Dial-Up > Connect” from the menu on the left. Simply select “Enable”, click apply and reboot the router.
